With over 31 years in the industry, Caeser Zandberg designs and operates all tours and safaris. Caesar is a born-and-bred Namibian and he is an expert on the Kaokoland and Himbaland areas with their wild trails, hidden valleys and singular beauty.
With Kunene Tours and Safaris, you will go to the most remote and spectacular regions of Namibia. Your safari may take you far from roads, fences and people, but luxury will always be at hand. We have just returned from the most exceptional 5 day off-road mobile camping trip into the remotest parts of the Kunene with Caesar Zandberg and his colleague Max.
Quite aside from his exceptional knowledge and outstanding driving (Caesar, Max and my wife and I all travelled in his vehicle, we are so glad that we chose to do that) the choice of itinerary (some wild camping, some very remote campsites) really gave us a feel for the rugged beauty of this remote region. Caesar knows a lot and has fascinating stories - he knows exactly the right balance in how much to say and when to say it.
The food was delicious, cooked over a log fire every evening; the tent we had was well appointed and secure; and Max, as a native Himba speaker, communicated well with all the locals that we came across.
We had read up about Caesar and his reputation preceded him. He took us to places and gave us experiences that it's impossible to imagine unless led by someone who has spent his entire life exploring the region. He knows the region, and every spot within it, like the back of his hand.We couldn't recommend Caesar and Max enough for those wanting to experience off the beaten track travel in an area of such exceptional beauty.
